WELLNESS AT WORK
Program Information:
For Individuals:
I am intimately familiar with the pains that come both from long hours at a desk.
When we’re just learning how to roll over, to sit up, to walk, we look for points of additional rigidity for support. That serves us well when we’re very young. But over time, we buid up too much stiffness and rigidity, and every time we get injured (whether physically or emotionally), even more gets added to the pile. Over time, we wind up with a passel of habits that are just “how we move.” Unfortunately, those degraded movement habits can negatively impact our emotional intelligence, our critical thinking, and our drive to do our best for our employees.
But humans are brilliant life-long learners, and you can learn new ways to move, so that your habits get better and more refined, allowing you to do all the things you do with more comfort and a lot less effort. In effect, you learn how to make better use of your skeleton so that you can “get out of your own way” and move with the kind of ease children take for granted.
For Groups:
Planning a group meeting and looking for something more memorable than the typical forgettable-yet-obligatory “team fun event?” Trying to figure out how to boost morale in a stressful environment, so you can demonstrate to your employees that your firm cares about their long-term success and well-being? For less than the cost of a typical team-builder, I can provide group lessons series tailored to your organization’s specific physical environment, functional demands, and business culture in order to reduce injury and stress, improve focus, and generally increase your employees’ sense of well-being.
